Our Story
For Our People. With Our People. On Our Country.
“We want something that is for our community. A place where Arrarnta People can come back to Country, share culture, gain knowledge and skills, build confidence and financial independence. For our young people to find their way and lead the future. For visitors to see, feel and learn about our people, culture and Country the right way.”
— Bobby Abbott, Arrarnta Traditional Owner & Director, Taarna Collective Network
Taarna Valley is more than just a place — it’s a vision, a community and a movement. Established by the Taarna Collective Network, we are a registered not-for-profit Aboriginal organisation working to create pathways for our people to live, work and thrive on Country.
Taarna Valley spans over 230 acres of freehold land adjacent to the Tjoritja / West MacDonnell National Park. This land, which holds deep cultural significance, is being developed to become a cultural hub — blending tourism, art, business development, training and employment and community leadership.
Whether it's welcoming visitors, hosting cultural experiences, or mentoring young people, everything we do is guided by Arrarnta values, knowledge and custodianship of this Country.
